Self Hypnosis Yesterday, Brainwave Entrainment Today

December 18th, 2009

Self hypnosis is actually the power to enter into the subconscious mind and try as best as we can to speak to the powerful subconscious mind. Hypnotism has been around for a long time, and it even has been used in ancient times to measure some sort of mind control. Many hypnotists have been on TV and what you see is really perhaps a glamorised version of the real thing. There are no beautiful assistants and there are no advertisement breaks, what you need to understand is that you should think about more advanced techniques like brainwave entrainment. Now I am sure that you have heard about it and now, we will tell you how to effectively use brainwave entrainment.
For one thing, you need a really quiet space, and if you can find one in your house, then that is really great, but if you cant then, you need to be able to find one. The good thing about this is that you can actually induce silence through the use of music plugged into your ears, and make sure that it is really relaxing and soothing music. Either method is fine, as along as you are able to concentrate and reflect inwards to be able to start the self hypnotism process. So this is the first factor that you need to think about and gain.
The next thing you need to do is to actually be able to make sure that you can learn about your own breathing techniques. You need to keep them under control and gain some sort of rhythm when you are doing this. Breathing is one of the most important things when you are talking about the ability to actually control your breathing and relax your mind. This is one of the most important factors when you are talking about self hypnosis, because when you are able to control your breathing, you would be able to induce your own peace and time of zen.
The other thing you might want to do is to actually tap into the power of the brain. If you did not know, the brain has its own mechanism to actually induce its own super states and hypnotism, and these are down to the brainwaves that are being produced by the neurons in the brain as well. So when it comes to this, all you need to do is to reverse engineer this situation with the use of some available technology and there are plenty of these that can be found online for your own usage. This is where brainwave entrainment comes into the picture.
So this is the good news about how you can induce your own mental improvement episode – all from the power of brainwave entrainment technology, and as you can see, it is not as difficult as you think it is. All you need to be able to do is to get the right sort of environment, the right sort of mental control and sometimes, the right kind of technology.

Hypnosis for Stress Relief – Open Your Mind to Tranquility

November 18th, 2009

Hypnosis for stress relief is a technique worth trying if you suffer from anxiety and tension. Learning how to reprogram your subconscious mind is the key. Anxious and negative thinking can be transformed by feeding the subconscious positive images and messages.

Everyone thinks and acts from a conscious and subconscious perspective. The conscious mind is rational and processes information through the five senses. The subconscious mind is impulsive and comes to conclusions using memories, emotions and experiences.

The subconscious mind is the root of worries, fears, anxiety, bad habits, negative thinking and limiting beliefs. All of these stress-causing attributes are a product of what we have been told by family, society, religion, media in addition to a lack of self esteem.

Characteristics either acquired or inherent can be transformed through hypnosis. This process is so effective because it changes negative thoughts and actions where they are formed. By transforming the negative into positive, self-defeating behavior and stress can be eliminated. Using hypnosis for stress relief is a permanent solution to self-defeating thoughts and actions.

How does hypnosis for stress relief work? There are two main parts to hypnosis session. One is deep relaxation and the other planting positive messages and images. The subconscious mind is extremely receptive to new programming in a deeply relaxed state. This is called a “trance” state. Positive messages such as, “My mind is calm and clear” or “My self esteem is overflowing” or “My craving for nicotine is gone” can be impressed on the subconscious mind. When the session is complete, one is brought out of the trance state to the conscious state.

Besides stress relief, the benefits of hypnosis include:

· Elimination of self-defeating behavior

· Ending addictions

· Increasing self esteem

· Improving health and well-being

· Sharpening mental focus

· Rejuvenation and increased energy

· Strengthening of relationships

· Memory recall

Some famous people who have used hypnosis include: Lord Tennyson, Mozart, George Washington Carver, Thomas Edison and Henry Ford. These visionaries are said to have received inspiration while in a hypnotic state.

If you are willing to give hypnosis for stress relief a try, you can find a qualified hypnotist or hypnotherapist to guide you. Or, you can choose the self-hypnosis route. You can purchase CDs or downloads that take you through a hypnosis session. The sessions are targeted to your desired outcome. Whether it be stress relief, improved health, better relationships, etc., you will make great improvements by reprogramming your subconscious mind.

The 6 Ways to Achieve Self-Hypnosis

November 17th, 2009

If you are like many other people and are now coming to realize that many of our problems are rooted deep down into our subconscious mind. Then you also know that the one way to overcome these issues is to practice and master self-hypnosis.

Self-hypnosis has been known to cure people of their obesity, their fear of flying, and even overcome job interviews with ease.

Plus, it can also help you stop smoking, along with many other subconsciously rooted issues. So let’s start immediately and take in the next 6 simple steps for self-hypnosis:1. Know What You Want To AchieveYou first, have to know what you are going for. Make a list of things you want to change about yourself. Then, prioritize them. Decide what needs changing first. Now, work on one goal at a time. Self-hypnosis is much more affective if you focus on one issue at a time.2. Find a Comfortable PlaceThe first step is to find a comfortable location where you can relax undisturbed. A bedroom is a great choice because you can close the door and keep out all of the potential distractions.

Then you can stretch out in the bed, turn off the light, and close your eyes. Although you may feel as if you are going to fall asleep, you won’t.3. Completely RelaxBefore you can begin changing your life, you must relax yourself completely. Start by tensing and un-tensing your muscles beginning with your feet and working all the way up through your neck.

As you move up, your body will begin to relax and loosen up. Also, focus on your breathing: take in deep breathes through your nose and let them out slowly through your mouth.4. Coming Down To a Deep Hypnotic StateAfter you’ve completed step 3, you are going to picture yourself as vividly as possible walk down a flight of stairs. There will be ten steps. Try to picture yourself and the stair case as real as you possibly can.

You want to feel like you are actually walking those stairs. You will picture yourself walking down all ten steps, on at a time, slowly. Once you have reached the bottom of the stairs, you are ready to move to step 5.5. Ready For ChangeYou should be in a very deep and relaxed state at this point. Now you can begin changing your subconscious. Make sure you remain positive at this stage. Negative thoughts and energy are going to interfere with the process.

For example, if you want to overcome your fear of flying then consider saying something like ‘Flying is enjoyable. I can fly stress-free.’ Repeat the phrase a few times.6. Coming Back To ConsciousnessAfter you’ve repeated the phrases a few times, you should begin imaging yourself walking back up that virtual staircase. Go slowly again. Remember to visualize the area as clearly as possible. You want it to be real to your mind. Once you get to the top stair you can come out of the state. Give yourself a few moments before you get up and open your eyes.

Self-hypnosis for Boomers to Cure Skin Problems

November 15th, 2009

Our skin reflects our state of mind. You must have noticed how your face turns red when you are really angry or how people comment on your dull looking skin when you are upset or compliment you for your glowing skin when you are happy! While these effects may be temporary, deep rooted feelings, either negative or positive, can have long term effects on our skin. However, this does not mean that all skin problems are a result of negative emotions; some might have medical causes as well. But if your skin is not responding to medications, then there is a possibility that either your negativity is hampering your recovery or your problem is the result of your deep rooted negative emotions. Self-rejection, self-loathing, stress, anxiety, negative self-talk and low self-esteem are feelings which typically cause skin problems. How to overcome your skin problems? Just like a long held habit becomes a part of our unconscious behavior, similarly long held thinking patterns also become a part of our behavior. We don’t even realize when we slip into a negative thinking or self-loathing mode. Our habit of worrying ourselves to death about the smallest problems or getting stressed over trivial issues comes naturally to us. Our subconscious directs our “natural” instincts. Therefore to alter what has become our “natural” behavior”, we need to influence our subconscious. Self- hypnosis is one way through which we can communicate with our subconscious. The following self-hypnosis exercises can help in altering long held-behavior and thinking patterns: Exercise 1-Simple self hypnosis exercise to release stress:

· Step 1-Lie down on your bed/a mat or the floor

· Step 2-Deep breathe

· Step 3-Focus on your breath and imagine that you breathing in light and energy with every in- breath and breathing out all your stress and anxiety with every out-breath

· Step 4-Now imagine a beam of white light entering your body through the top of your head

· Step 5-Let the white light travel to every part of your body, dissolving all your stress and anxiety

· Step 6-Now imagine that the light is leaving your body from the soles of your feet

· Step 7-You will find yourself feeling lighter

· Step 8-Relax

· Step 9- Slowly open your eyes

Self Hypnosis exercise for self acceptance: Repeat Exercise 1 till step 8 Step9-Visualize yourself the way you look right now Step 10-Tell this image of yourself “I love and accept you the way you are” Step 11-Now embrace this image Step 12-Relax Step 13-Slowly, open your eyes Self hypnosis exercise for adopting a positive attitude and building confidence and releasing negative emotions causing skin problems Repeat exercise 1 till step 8 Step 9-Visualize your skin clearing Step 10-See your blemishes/pimples/hive/eczema disappearing Step 11-See your skin glowing Step 12-Stay with this image for as long as you want Step 13-Relax Step 14- Slowly, open your eyes Self hypnosis communicates with your mind in the language it understands, the language of visuals. These exercises influence your subconscious mind and re-program it to adopt positive thinking patterns. Want to stay physically and mentally healthy? Using Self-Hypnosis Effectively

November 14th, 2009

Is there something in your mind that is preventing you from doing the things you want most in life? Is there a fear or other block that might be stopping you from taking action?

If the answer is ‘yes,’ the best way to stop the problem is through self-hypnosis. Below are the steps you need to take in order to complete self-hypnosis.NOTE: Read all the steps before doing self hypnosis. It can’t be properly done while reading the steps.1. Relax and get comfortableBefore you can get started, you need to relax. The best way is to find a quiet, dark room. In that room, you should find a comfortable place to sit or to lie down. Be sure to set aside about 30 minutes for this entire process.

Consider sitting up in a comfortable chair instead of lying down. When you lie down, you are more likely to fall asleep and that is not going to help you achieve your goals. 2. Concentrate on removing tension from your bodyOnce you’ve found your comfortable position, slowly start relaxing each part of your body. This can best be done by clenching and unclenching the muscles starting with your foot and moving upwards through the rest of your body slowly.

At the same time, you should creative a physical image of that stress dropping off your body like raindrops, leaves, or any type of symbol. By the time you reach the head, you should begin feeling quite relaxed. If you’re still having difficulty, consider imagining the feel of cool water or air rushing over your skin to further soothe you.3. Take the mental walk to deeper relaxationAt this point, you need to visualize a staircase in your mind. Now begin walking slowly down the stairs. Each step should take you deeper into a state of relaxation than the next. Count each step and when you reach the tenth you should be in the proper state for self-hypnosis.4. Repeat your positive goalHave in mind a statement that will help you achieve your goal. For example, you might say ‘I can give a speech to an audience with confidence’ if you goal was to reduce your nervousness and apprehension about public speaking.

Along with the phrase, be sure to create a mental image of yourself giving that speech effectively to a large audience of attentive listeners. The combination of the phrase and the image will help solidify this idea in your mind and in your life.5. Exist deep relaxationAfter you are all done with step 4, you will need to slowly bring yourself out of the state of deep relaxation. To get this done, you will picture the same flight of stairs, again as vividly as you possibly can. Counting each of the ten steps as you climb up them.

After you get to the top don’t move right away. Begin slowly. Open your eyes, and start moving small parts of your body until you feel you are completely out of deep relaxation. There is no rush, take it slow.

How to Accomplish Self Hypnosis Knowing the Don’ts and the Top 4 Ways To Hypnotize Your Self

October 31st, 2009

One self help method for achieving specific goals is the use of self hypnosis. First, don’t get that picture of a guy walking around acting like a chicken in public. This is not like that in any way. Self hypnosis is a way of relaxing the entire body and making the subconscious more receptive to suggestions. The Two Don’ts of Self Hypnosis1. Don’t Materialize It’s important not to be pushy. Self Hypnosis is a process and won’t completely change you or your life in one session. It’s natural process that takes a little time. Look at it this way, it took all those years to program your mind of what you think now. It can’t be changed in one day. Let it happen as it happens.2. Don’t Be Analytical As humans we like to be analytical. We have a need to know why things happen and why they are the way they are. Don’t try to do that with Self Hypnosis. Your focus should be on your desire not why your desire comes to be. Now it’s crucial that you remember these don’t while you go through the next 4 steps that will ultimately change your life.1. RelaxRelaxing is the key element here. Give yourself between 15 and 30 minutes or whatever time you can get away. This depends on your personal schedule. Then get to a place where you won’t be interrupted or distracted. Get your body fully relaxed and the mind will follow suit. This may take some time and practice, but is well worth the effort to learn. Once you learn relax properly, you will be able to get there in a shorter time.2. Reaching a Hypnotic StateOnce you have relaxed, you will need to deepen your state of relaxation. Do not make the mistake of ‘looking for’ the sign that you have reached a hypnotic state. IN other words, don’t try too hard to get there. One of the best ways to deepen your relaxed condition is to use the countdown technique.

Once you have become relaxed, start to mentally count backward from some number like 20 or 100, depending on you. With each count, imagine yourself going deeper and deeper. Somewhere in this phase, you will probably reach a hypnotic state, though you may not know it.3. Speaking To Your Subconscious MindYou are now in a state where your subconscious mind is ready to listen. Start using a positive affirmation relating to your goal.

This affirmation would be something like this, “I am going to _________, I am _______, or I can __________.” Putting your desire in the blanks. Remember to keep your affirmations positive, and use a direct voice. This is a serious matter and should sound that way to your subconscious mind.4. Reaching RealityHere you are going to bring yourself out of self hypnosis. You are going to count from 1 to 10 slowly and imagine yourself coming closer and closer to reality. Once you reach ten keep your eyes closed and stay still. Give yourself time to come out of the trance. When you use this technique properly, you will find your results to be astounding and positive. There is no danger at all with self-hypnosis.

Why Self Hypnosis Facilitates Your Goals

October 28th, 2009

Self hypnosis is a basic, inexpensive technique that you can practice on your own and at your leisure. It is also one of the safest and most powerful behavior modification techniques known to science. Yes, that’s right, science. Many people think of self hypnosis as a kind of magic, but in reality hypnosis is no more exotic or mysterious than other activities like eating or sleeping. Scientific evidence supports the idea that practicing self hypnosis can help you achieve aims that range from overcoming a shy disposition to staying on track with an exercise program. Self hypnosis has been shown to help people all over the world change their lives for the better. To learn a bit about why and how self hypnosis works, check out these simple facts.

The trance like state associated with self hypnosis is actually just a very advanced form of total physical relaxation and psychological comfort. A wide range of studies have shown that regular relaxation, whether through yoga, meditation, or hypnosis, can greatly improve quality of life. Relaxation can help you manage stress and reduce physical tension. When you relax, you encourage the release of hormones that regulate your mood and energy levels, so the more often you are able to fully relax, the better and more vibrant you will feel. When you pursue a course of self hypnosis, you may feel healthier and more positive simply because you are relaxing often and fully.

Another reason why self hypnosis may get such great results has to do who uses hypnosis and why. Anyone who tries self hypnosis is ready and willing to change his or her life for the better. Sometimes, truly being excited and open towards the possibility of transforming the life you have into the life you want is a huge step towards realizing your dreams. By the time you start your first self hypnosis session, you have already taken a big step on the path to success. When you decide to follow a self hypnosis program that requires you to invest fifteen or twenty minutes of your day every single day for a period of a month or more, you are making a strong commitment to change. Many self improvement experts agree that having a daily chance to remind yourself of how important your goals are, and how motivated you are to pursue them, can help you stay on track. Self hypnosis gives you this opportunity, and much more.

There is some evidence to support the idea that self hypnosis awakens the part of your mind that is responsible for creative thinking. During a hypnotic state, brainwave activity increases substantially in the area of your cerebral cortex that is responsible for imagination and finding creative solutions to problems. By more fully tapping into the resources that this side of your mind provides, you may be increasing your chances of success in the endeavor of your choice. Self hypnosis may help you reach your goals simply by letting you use the full range of intelligence that already lies within you

Top 4 Ways To Change Your Life Through Self Hypnosis

October 4th, 2009

What is the biggest weakness associated with any self-improvement program? It is definitely a lengthy process, most of the time. This fundamental defect seems to discourage most who are fed up with their kind of life and desire an improvement.Often you have wondered how you have tried to improve your life one way or the other but have repeatedly failed and realized that you were ‘trying too hard’. Now given the fact that the lengthy self improvement programs along with the extent of attention they require of you, you would obviously want to know a little more about self improvement through hypnosis, because the main advantage here would be that you would not require too much time and effort spent in this case.

In fact, often the amount of effort you inevitably invest into the other procedures leads to effectively an investment into nothing, which isn’t helpful. Hypnosis, in fact, since it concerns the subconscious, does not require effort of this kind. What is proposed in psychoanalytic theory is a battle, a regular confrontation of sorts between the unconscious and the conscious section of the mind. With hypnosis there is a certain access to the unconscious section of the mind without the intermediation of the rationality that is borne by the status quo consciousness.

Thus the changes which you need to make to your smoking habits, your body, your mind and the thinking can be configured in the unconscious, which lets it hold on to the changes even in the rationalized consciousness. There are 4 reasons we offer here which should tell you why this process is helpful to you:1. It’s Fast The speed of execution, which this process exhibits, is amazing. A week or ten days of assertion can help you make that crucial change which you needed to make for the last 5 years or so.2. It Doesn’t Take A FortuneSelf hypnosis comes to you with little cost. With other programs you can spend hundreds to thousands of dollars and go to countless sessions, and therapy just to feel even more drained and helpless than before. With the right knowledge and techniques, self hypnosis can be done in as little as a few sessions and in the comfort of your own home.3. Relaxing Relaxation is a definite consequence of self-hypnosis. The practice of this process induces you to fast relaxation after the stress of the day’s work is all setting in. Thus you are never too tired for self-hypnosis. Physical relaxation along with your mental relaxation is thus also a benefit that this therapy covers.4. Life Changing Results The change that you have made once stays put for a long time. The rational self is conveniently bypassed in this kind of hypnotic treatment and thus a direct access to the foundations, the unconscious is possible. Once you manage to bring about a change in the level of the unconscious, you have achieved enough change to effect your consciousness. This layer of change is something, which has permanence inherent to them. Now, that you’ve heard the facts it’s time to implement self hypnosis into your life and get ready to be a better person for it.
