How to Use Self Hypnosis for Well Being

December 25th, 2009

Well being hypnosis is the fundamental element of the hypnotherapy process. Mind control and wellness are deeply connected and many beings recognize that becoming calm and relaxed is an integral part of wellbeing. You can look at the process of seeking wells of insight during your trance.

Hypnosis for Meditation

Meditative exercise is an important component to your overall wellbeing. This approach helps you to take time away from worldly concerns in order to delve deep into your self. Meditation has been used for centuries by various cultures across the globe. This is one of the few interventions that have a long worldwide history.

You can benefit from this approach as a form of deep hypnotic meditation. You become more aware of your physical self in the process of exploring your unconscious mind. This is a valuable tool for achieving better health in the end.

Hypnosis for Relaxation

Relaxation is a very important aspect of health. A person who is wrought with anxiety and stress tends to have a weaker immune system. This individual is more prone to illness and it takes longer to overcome an illness when under a great deal of stress. It is no secret that the mind and the body are closely linked when it comes to wellbeing and health.

Wellbeing also relates to mental health as well. This is a crucial aspect of your overall health and your life experience. When you are able to relax deeply, you are allowing your conscious and subconscious mind to work through your experiences—good and bad—in order to create an understanding and acceptance that is impossible to achieve on a conscious level.

Well Being Hypnosis

Your meditative venture is one that addresses your thoughts, emotions and physical responses. This process treats your body as a whole system rather than a disjointed conglomeration of systems. For example, you begin to recognize that your thoughts link to emotions that have physical ramifications.

Your new awareness of your self as a whole being is a very important approach to achieving a higher awareness that involves better health and understanding. This process also leads to a better life experience too.

Self-hypnosis and Meditation Towards Self Improvement

December 20th, 2009

Self hypnosis is a great tool for goal setting and self improvement. Most people are surprised at how easy it is to learn self-hypnosis. And self-hypnosis, in turn, makes a lot of things much easier. Self hypnosis is usually thought of as a person listening to an audio tape, mp3, or other mass-produced media, intended to induce a willingness to absorb suggestions centered around a specific topic such as weight loss, stop smoking, etc. Unfortunately, this kind of hypnosis is generally prepared by someone who has never met the person being hypnotized, often presenting unwanted, even unpleasant imagery and suggestions. For example, if you sunburn easily, that last thing you want to hear about is a slow walk on a sunny beach. In this case, the “self” in self hypnosis simply means that you listen to it by yourself. How do you incorporate self improvement to hypnosis? To be able to go about self improvement, there are certain aspects in you that should be addressed. Using hypnosis, the negative aspects that are serving as hindrances to improvement are eliminated. A true self hypnosis would necessarily be designed and created by the very person who will ultimately use and benefit from it. Unlike the mass-produced hypnosis, this hypnosis is made for the exact purpose the person wishes, including the precise words and phrases that mean the most to that particular person. The true self hypnosis is thus crafted by the person to suit his or her own needs. The benefits derived could only be accomplished with such a personal, one-of-a-kind hypnosis. In this case, the “self” in self hypnosis really does mean that you are hypnotized by yourself! Below is a short view of the self hypnotic process. Though lots of variations of this method have been used, these are the basic steps you have to go through in order to hypnotize yourself to accomplish self improvement.1. Position your goals from the most important goal to the less important. If possible, your goals should be measurable. 2. For each goal, you should formulate fitting suggestions which means you have to convert your goals into specific instructions to your subconscious mind on how to achieve each goal. 3. Relaxation. Use the first minutes of your self hypnotic session to get as relaxed as possible. Try to forget all your worries and problems.4. Start your hypnotic initiation phase by saying and repeating out loud the hypnotic words you have chosen, thinking of these words or listening to a hypnotic tape or CD customized for your hypnotic and goal fulfillment needs. 5. Apply the hypnotic suggestions you have made for reaching the specific goal you work with, say them out loud, think them or use a tailored hypnotic tape or CD. Before you start up your self hypnotic exercises you should make a time schedule for it. Do your hypnotic sessions every day, five minutes a day is enough. Repeat your suggestions as often as possible during the day.Measure your progress. Are you closer to your goal now than you were before you started? Ask yourself. If you answer negative to these questions, you have to rethink and reorganize your train of thoughts. This is the only way you can find out if this method is really helping you in achieving your self improvement goals. MeditationThere are particular moments in life that when you wish you could depend on anybody’s self improvement advice. But even if they gave it to you with the best intentions, in case anything goes wrong, you are always going to blame those persons. That is why specialists strongly advise you, every time you find yourself at a crossroads, to always take the decisions by yourself. The question arising is: how can we know how to take it and which is the best solution? No matter how young or old you are, you must have gotten to a point in your life when you have to take a big decision, which will probably affect your entire existence. There is no doubt that there are certain moments in life when you feel helpless and disoriented and believe you could use some self improvement advice in order to figure out how to proceed with your life. The answer is never simple. However, there is one self improvement advice that can be of great help and employed regularly will have great results. It is called meditation and it has been used for centuries in certain rituals and by ancients civilizations. Even in old and famous books, like the Bible, people are invited to meditate, to discover and fight the evil in us and by knowledge to gain control over our decisions and our lives. How do we proceed when meditating? First of all, you need to be away from any source of distraction. You cannot analyze your deepest feelings and thoughts and watch a movie at the same time. Secondly, you need to ask yourself a series of questions that will help you to better determine who you really are. The questions should relate to everyday aspects. What do you like doing?   What made you most proud of yourself during your entire life? What is it that you always wanted to do and you never found the time? What role does money play in your life? What is it more important for you, you family life or your career? How much do you depend on others? If you are worried about a certain decision, let all the questions be related to that issue. If you are just confused when asking the questions, think about the common topics that one has to deal with during his life. Do not forget to write down the answers. Try to concentrate and to be sincere. After all, nobody will judge you. All these questions will help you determine exactly where you stand and what is it that you want form life. All you have to do is to get the right interpretation of your own replies. In order to do that, help yourself to a coup of tea or your favorite coffee and take the time to analyze them thoroughly. Mark with a red pen whatever you find pride worthy answers and with a black one the things that do not make you proud. Post the list somewhere where you can see it more than once a day, or post it in more than one place. You will notice that, step by step, even unwillingly, the black things on your list will start turning red. Do not forget to renew the list when most of it has turned red! It is the best way to always be aware what your expectations from life are. Take this simple self improvement advice and see the positive results for yourself.

Self-hypnosis and Meditation to Make you Better

When you close your eyes and concentrate on what you’re experiencing you may find it causes you to ask yourself some pretty weird questions.
“Where am I?”
OK. It may seem obvious on the face of it. You’re in your living room, bedroom or wherever. But what evidence of that do you feel? You feel your bum and back against the chair, your feet against the floor.
But “where” is the feeling and “where” is the feeler? I used to think that my head is up here and the sensation (of feet on floor) is down there. But, with my eyes closed and concentrating on the present moment, I’m not so sure.
With your eyes closed everything’s black. Well, it’s not completely black you can see colours but it’s nothing to concentrate on, nothing to see. There’s no point of reference that says “you are here”. No distance. No scale. No comparison.
Sometimes when I close my eyes and I’m nicely relaxed I am aware of an incredible sensation of largeness. Suddenly I am not bounded by four walls or the limit of my eyesight. The result is the universe inside my head.
Try it now! Close your eyes, just briefly, relax and feel the immensity that is larger than anything you can imagine.
Now, where are you inside this universe. At what point are you? Are you outside looking in? Or inside looking out?
If you completely die to the past at every moment there is no “you”, no experiencer and experienced, just experience.
In my opinion, this brings us to complete selflessness. If there is no you, there is just being. So one is not concerned with one’s own welfare!
This may sound like a contradiction, given what I’ve been saying about selflessness, but when I started self-hypnosis I remember the feeling of complete contentment whilst sitting down and concentrating on my breathing.
And I remember it filtering into the rest of my life. A feeling of happiness coming over me in mundane situations.
I believe that it is this contentment that can suppress any nicotine, alcohol or drug addiction.
If I was happy no matter what – I was fed and watered and had no physical pain – why would I need a cig?

Self Hypnosis is Outdated

November 24th, 2009

How we act, react and interact in the world determines what we give to the world and ultimately what we receive from the world. The actions we take, whether they are with other people, or situations in general, make a huge impact on where we now find ourselves in life. Small actions taken now make huge differences in the future. You are where you are now because of the actions you have taken in the past. Take the correct small steps now and you will see huge differences in your future.
Unfortunately, most of your actions are driven by your unconscious beliefs, feelings and thoughts. These unconscious behavioural patterns often go unmissed or unnoticed until the physical manifestation of them becomes apparent. Good examples of this would be emotional over-eating, spending more money than you earn, failure to identify why you constantly enter negative relationships etc.
Through the use of self hypnosis it is possible to identify and remove these negative unconscious behaviours and then replace them with positive habits. Self hypnosis is no longer seen just as relaxation technique or something that people who are dedicated to personal development dabble in.
All forms of hypnotherapy, including self hypnosis, have been found to help reduce stress, treat psychological conditions, reduce pain and even remove certain physical symptoms. Through the use of self hypnosis you can re-program the unconscious, or subconscious, part of your mind for success, health, wealth and even happiness.
How you perceive yourself, your place on the world and your abilities, along with how much you feel you deserve, how much you believe you are entitled to have or capable of achieving, determine what you now have in life! You can utilize the power of self hypnosis to completely change such belief systems and thoughts. You can even use the latest self hypnosis techniques to instantly create new ones.
Traditional therapeutic self hypnosis, although still effective, is outdated. With the work taken by NLP practitioners, like Richard Bandler, and hypnosis techniques improved, by hypnotherapists like Paul McKenna, self hypnosis has entered the 21st Century. Improvements in self hypnosis induction techniques mean you can enter trance almost instantly. Other self hypnosis improvements have been made that mean you can now successful treat a phobia in one session and eliminate a negative belief within minutes!
With the dawn of quantum physics and improvements being made in scientific fields we now know the importance that energy fields play in the universe. Everything is composed of energy including you and your thoughts. These energies are constantly in a state of action and interaction, vibrating at different frequencies. Energy pockets that vibrate at a harmonious frequncies attract each other like magnets. Now this may sound like a lot of scientific mumbo-jumbo but when we apply these principles to our lives they become very real and easily workable especially if we employ self hypnosis.
If everything is energy, including your thoughts and even your emotions, and harmonious energies attract each other then what energies do you think you are currently attracting?
If you are holding thoughts and feelings that are negative you will tend to attract negative life experiences. This is true on a quantum level – the level of energy! However, even if you do not understand this or refuse to believe it you can at least entertain the possibility that these thoughts and feelings affect your actions and reactions!
If your actions and reactions are being driven by negative thoughts and feelings then you will take negative actions and get negative results. If these thoughts and feelings are of an unconscious nature then we need an unconscious solution. Self hypnosis gives you instant access to the unconscious part of the mind!
Through modern, improved self hypnosis techniques it is possible to reprogram your mind so that your natural, unconscious and automatic actions become more positive and more in alignment with your dreams, aspirations and goals!
Although there are many new devices and electronic gadgets that can help with self improvement or personal development, self hypnosis remains a tried and tested method for self change and life-improvement!
