Self-Confidence,Self Hypnosis & Effortless Goal Achievement

December 14th, 2009

I am sure you understand that all success begins in the mind. In order to be successful you must first think successfully. Unfortuantely this is often easier said than done!

Even people who have been students of sel improvement for decades find it hard to step out of their past experiences, beliefs, thoughts and emotions and into a better life filled with the things that they want. This is due to subconscious programming – something that is often hard to remove or overcome.

If you have ever tried to achieve anything or have dreamed of a better life but stayed stuck then perhaps its time to give self hypnosis a try!

Creating self confidence is a lot like trying to create faith. In order to believe you can do something that you have never attempted before you must create some faith in yourself and your abilities. This can be tougher than you may expect. The majority of people who enter the personal development arena for the first time begin their life-transformation by using auto-suggestion in the form of affirmations. They try to use affirmation sto create the feeling of faith and belief in themselves. However, this approach is seriously flawed and extremely outdated. If you have tried this approach and failed then self hypnosis may well be the answer.

Self hypnosis, like all forms of auto-suggestions, is designed to infiltrate the subconscious mind where you hold all your current views of the world and beliefs about it and your place in it.

To use auto-suggestion correctly it is necessary to gain access to the subconscious mind and embed emotionalised suggestions into it. With most forms of auto-suggestions this can be extremely difficult as the conscious mind constantly interferes and refers back to previous subconscious programming.

If you want an example of how this works just make up an affirmation now that refolects something you really want. Phrase the affirmation in a way that states you already have it. A good example of this is the statement, “My bank account is over-flowing with money” – which is most likely untrue at the moment.

What happens when you speak this statement?

I bet you immediately think of all the reasons why this statement is not true! Thus reinforcing the belief that you do not have it and forcing you to focus on the lack of it!

You can liken your mind to a complex computer system. Because the conscious mind is still very much active when you speak affirmations it draws on the subconscious resources that hold your beliefs and past experience when it is presented with any kind of statement to ascertain whether it is true or false. This is why auto-suggestion techniques like affirmations very rarely work. The conscious mind uses your current subconscious programming to dispute and totally disregard the new statement thus not allowing it access to the subconscious mind! The easiest way to avoid this problem is through the use of self hypnosis.

The best way to program the subconscious mind is by bypassing the conscious mind and the best way to do this is through self hypnosis!

During self hypnosis you completely bypass the conscious mind and gain direct access to the subconscious. Once you have entered a state of self hypnosis it is very easy to remove your current beliefs and replace them with whatever beliefs you choose. Then when you think of the statement again and the conscious mind accesses the subconscious resources it is given the new programming i.e. the beliefs, thoughts and emotions that you programmed into it!

Through self hypnosis you can change yourself from the inside-out. To use self hypnosis you really do not need to do a lot. If you use a pre-recorded self hypnosis session all you have to do is listen and relax. Self hypnosis can be used for almost anything. Truthfully, through the use of self hypnosis it is possible to program your mind to achieve any goal you can imagine. A new level of self confidence and faith in yourself is just a self hypnosis trance session away.

Self Hypnosis Trance Guide

November 8th, 2009

It was back when I was studying for my Bachelor of Science honors degree in IT & Computing that I started to notice the similarities between a computer and the subconscious mind.
A computer will only function corectly if it is running a well coded program. Well, your subconscious mind is exactly the same! If it has damaging or negative programs, that come n the form of beliefs, emotions and thoughts, then it will not run effeciently. In fact, it will give you bad results just like a computer running bad software!
For most people programs such as these are hard to see. For some reason human beings do not like looking at their negative qualities and bury their negative programs deep in the subconscious mind. The good news is that there is a way to find and eliminate these negative programs – self hypnosis. By using self hypnosis it is easy to gain access to the subconscious mind and remove negative programs. It is even possible to remove some programs, that have been festering in the subconscious mind and running on automatic for a lifetime, in one session – such is the power and speed of self hypnosis.
Here is a quick simple guide to get you started using self hypnosis as a tool for inner, and ultimately outer, change.
1. First identify what you want. Although this may sound like an obvious thing to do many people can list all the things they don’t want but are hard-pushed to list even 2 things they do want. Of those that can identify their desires many times they are nebulous in nature – “I would like more money”, “I want happiness”.
In order to use the full power of self hypnosis and gain the most benefit from it you must know EXACTLY what you want. What will make you happy? How much money do you really want in dollars and cents?
2. Go somewhere where you will not be disturbed and find a comfortable position. Sitting or lying down are both acceptable.
3. Relax your body. Simple deep breathing often accomplishes this. You can take each part of your body in turn, from the feet to your scalp and tense then relax them. This will allow you to see where you are tense and relax that part of the body. It is important that you remember to relax your face, neck and scalp as many people overlook these areas!
4. Mentally count from ten to one. Breathe deeply throughout the countdown and in your head tell yourself you are going down deep into trance.
5. Imagine a long winding staircase and mentally take each step as you count from 10 to 1 again. This will deepen your trance and relax your body further.
6. Once at the bottom imagine that there is a doorway a little ahead of you and walk through it. This leads to a peaceful place where you feel totally comfortable and at ease.
7. Sit down in your scene and imagine yourself saying aloud any pre-made affirmations you have for change. These affirmations should focus on what you want not what you don’t want and not on anything you are trying to get rid of! Just recite your affirmations for as long as it feels comfortable. Say them in your mind with meaning. Try to feel the feelings you will have when those statements are true.
8. Imagine the scene gently dissolving and you suddenly find yourself in your perfect scene (a scene that shows you already in possession of your desire or at a time when the affirmations you said are now true).
When you are ready simply imagine you walk through the door and ascend the staircase. You can do this quickly. Then count from 1 to 10 and open your eyes.
Using this technique you will have experienced a self hypnosis state and used it to change yourself at a very deep level.

Using Self Hypnosis on Others

November 2nd, 2009

Self hypnosis, to some, appears mystical or magical – a magical technique that can make people do things against their will and even perform acts without them knowing or remembering. Unfortunately this misguided view of self hypnosis stems from Hollywood depictions of evil hypnotists and government assassination plots.
Stage hypnosis in its current form has damaged the general view of self hypnosis as well. Although highly entertaining, stage hypnotism has damaged the reputation of hypnosis and weakened the generic view of this powerful mind tool.
Self hypnosis and hypnosis are just words used to describe an extremely relaxed state of body and highly focused state of mind. This relaxed state allows us to clear our minds of unwanted mind-clutter, worries and the constant mind chatter associated with them.
With the growing popularity of self hypnosis and the growing awareness of its capacity to create profound internal changes there is becoming a greater lack of understanding about the processes involved. In fact most people never realize that they enter states of self hypnosis regularly. You actually experience states of hypnotic trance many times throughout a normal day.
The one state that most people will most quickly and easily identify as a trance state is that of daydreaming. However, when you watch television read a book or become engaged in an engrossing conversation you are experiencing different degrees of the trance state. You also enter into this type of state just before you fall asleep and directly after awakening.
All hypnosis is self hypnosis, for in order to enter a hypnotic state you must willing give your consent to be hypnotized. No hypnotist can force you into trance!
Self hypnosis can be explained simply as a very relaxed state of body that is accompanied by a heightened sense of mental focus and concentration.
This of course means that hypnosis and self hypnosis are the exact same phenomenon and the fact that we all move in and out of trance states throughout the day means that everyoone is hypnotizable. Added to that, the fact that hypnosis is the same as self hypnosis, we realize that it is possible to use self hypnosis on someone else.
The first thing you need to do if you wish to hypnotize someone else is to experience the state yourself. You will make a much better hypnotist if you have personally experienced the profound peace and heightened focus of the trance state.
There are many great self hypnosis recordings available that can take you into trance within a very small amount of time. By using these recordings you will undergo trance yourself. When you know what it feels like to enter trance you will be more qualified to create it for another.
If you are interested in learning self hypnosis techniques to create trance in yourself and others it is advisable to get a good self hypnosis course. Techniques that you can use on yourself can easily be modified to be used on others. Having already experienced the trances state through pre-recorded sessions you will be better able to identify the processes involved when learning these techniques.
Finding the correct self hypnosis course is important. You need to ensure the course teaches the latest techniques in trance induction. Self hypnosis has moved rapidly into the 21st Century and uses 21st Century techniques and tools. The use binaural beats recordings can also heavily influence your sessions and greatly increase your chances of successfully inducing a trance state in yourself and others. Free binaural beats generators can be downloaded from the Internet and incorporated into your self hypnosis sessions by playing them in the background or listening to them through headphones.
Once you have found the correct course use the techniques on yourself before you try them on someone else. This will help you perfect your skills and the experience necessary to create deeper trance states in your hypnotic subjects.
